Job description

SUMMARY

Perform a variety of repetitive duties to set up and operate a rotational molding machine to produce various sizes of plastic containers and custom products. Perform secondary operations on roto-molded products as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work from both written and verbal instructions.
2. Understand and follow standard safety and manufacturing procedures as documented.
3. Follow established company and department policies and procedures.
4. Safely and correctly use a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries, and other equipment used in production.
5. Read and understand blueprints and manufacturing work orders to produce products meeting specifications.
6. Assist in machine setup, mold servicing, monitor controls, check quality, and make adjustments.
7. Share technical knowledge through training others.
8. Perform secondary operations on molded products as needed.
9. Maintain Pelican quality standards.
10. Keep work areas and equipment safe, clean, and organized.
11. Maintain production and other records daily.
12. Operate a rotational molding machine with minimal supervision.
13. Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

• Preferably have one year of experience operating plastic molding or similar machinery.
• Understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Operate machinery and controls effectively.
