SUMMARY

Perform a variety of repetitive duties to set up and operate a rotational molding machine to produce various sizes of plastic containers and custom products. Perform a variety of secondary operations on roto-molded products as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work from both written and verbal instructions.
2. Understand and follow standard safety and manufacturing procedures as documented.
3. Follow established company and department policies and procedures.
4. Safely and correctly use a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries, and other equipment used in production.
5. Read and understand basic information on blueprints and manufacturing work orders to produce products that meet specifications.
6. Set up and service molds, monitor instrument controls, check product quality, and make adjustments as needed during machine operation.
7. Share technical knowledge with others through training.
8. Perform secondary operations on molded products as required.
9. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area and equipment.
10. Maintain daily production and other records as required.
11. Operate a rotational molding machine with minimal supervision.
12. Perform other related duties as required or directed.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

1. One-year experience operating plastic molding machines or similar machinery preferred.
2. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
3. Ability to operate machinery and controls.
4. Support and comply with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines, and commitment to Quality and Safety, with a focus on continual improvement.
5. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Interact cooperatively with employees at all levels.
7. Complete assignments within the specified timeframe.
8. Willingness to share technical knowledge through training.
