Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is the cutting, bending, fabricating, and folding of sheet metal to create components used in assembling the finished product. Each job must be performed with safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the production area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate laser, press brake/turret machine, and other tools safely to complete projects.
2. Create quality, accurate cuts, bends, and folds according to blueprints.
3. Follow and enforce all CDI safety rules and regulations.
4. Ensure equipment is properly set up and used safely, with all safety devices in use.
5. Operate forklift if required and certified.
6. Perform inspections on products before, during, and after production following CDI standards.
7. Monitor equipment functionality and request maintenance when needed.
8. Perform basic and preventative maintenance and repairs as required.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience operating laser, press brake/turret, or other metal fabrication tools.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Outstanding attention to detail, multitasking, and strong time management skills.
• Ability to safely use various measuring, hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Willingness to cross-train in other production departments.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat, and lift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and 70 pounds occasionally.
