Job summary

Southwestern Paperboard, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator/Assistant for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves inspecting output, organizing the workspace for safety and efficiency, and supporting maintenance to improve machine reliability.

You will load and unload web-fed paper rolls, learn different paper grades, and operate the line in a safe, productive manner. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $26.00 per hour with potential overtime and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous machine operation experience preferred in a similar environment.
• Must lift 50–75 lbs repetitively.
• Must work in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Must be very teamwork oriented.

Machine Operator/Assistant Needed

2nd Shift: 4:00pm-12:00am (Monday thru Friday)

3rd Shift: 10:00PM -6:00AM (Sunday thru Thursday)

As a Machine Operator/Assistant at Southwestern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for the following:

• Inspecting machine and checking items produced for proper quality specifications.
• Organizing process area to increase production, reduce safety risks and improve efficiency.
• Working with maintenance to improve machine reliability.
• Load and Unload web fed paper rolls or sheets.
• Learn material paper grades.
• Operate in a safe and productive manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous machine operation experience is preferred, in a similar environment.
• Growth and pay progression opportunities available.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment which is hot in the summer months and comfortable during cooler weather.
• Must be very teamwork oriented.
• Must be able to lift between 50 to 75 lbs, repetitively without any assistance.
• Must be able to stand, walk, twist and bend regularly to complete job tasks.
• Must be mathematically inclined and know how to convert fractions and measurements.
