Job summary

Inteplast Group in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator Assistant to help keep flexographic and converting machines supplied with paper, ink, and cartons. You will learn machine mechanics while working on old and new equipment on a fast-paced production floor.

The role emphasizes maintaining clean, safe work areas, adhering to PPE requirements, and demonstrating dependable attendance with flexibility for non-standard hours. Training is ongoing and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machines and packaging products is preferred.
• Experience with handling large rolls of paper or plastic is a plus.
• Familiarity with common hand tools incl. tape measure, screwdriver, wrenches.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic math skills needed for measurements and tolerances.
• Maintain a safe working environment on production lines.

Machine Operator Assistant

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The machine assistant will be responsible for keeping the machines supplied with paper, ink, glue, and cartons while learning the mechanics of the flexographic and converting machines.

• Old and new machinery. Clean work environment.
• First and second shift hours - Monday - Friday.
• Only those with a good work history will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous machine operating and packaging experience preferred.
• Experience preferred with large rolls of paper or plastic.
• Knowledge and use of various hand tools assigned including tape measure, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.
• Good verbal and written skills required.
• Basic Math required.
• Maintain a safe working environment on production lines.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION

• Must complete ongoing training as required.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis
