The Machine Operator is responsibilities include, but may not be limited to,
- Understand the safety features of the machines in Assembly Dept and ensure machines are operating without compromise to those safety systems.
- Assemble, attach, and test pre-manufactured components or parts.
- Responsible for understanding of machine functions and process capability.
- Inspect and quality check products and verify accuracy.
- Responsible for recognizing & alerting appropriate personnel of quality issues.
- Contribute to and support the vision, mission, and guiding principles of the company.
- Interpret specifications and calibrate machines to reach goals.
- Monitor gauges or other indicators to assess progress, production, and maintenance needs.
- Simultaneously operate multiple pieces of equipment to produce products efficiently.
- Must adhere to all safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Industrial and manufacturing experience.
- Experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to perform accurate mathematical calculations, and read a ruler (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Ability to work with fractions and decimals.
- Positive attitude, self-directed, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A work history of compliance to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- A work history that supports a good to excellent attendance record.
- Quick to learn and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a detail-oriented approach to daily work activities.
- Able to work well in a team-oriented work environment.
- Mechanical abilities.
Physical requirements:- Walking, Standing, Sitting, Kneeling (Frequently).
- Lifting, Carrying up to 50 pounds (Occasionally).
- Temperatures (Occasionally).
Additional Notes:- May require overtime with little notice before or after normal work hours or weekends.
