Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, adjusting, cleaning, and monitoring their assigned machine. To be a successful packaging machine operator, one needs to have technical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery, attention to detail for quality control, and a strong focus on safety.

(THIS IS NOT A FORKLIFT POSITION)

Note: This is a direct hire position, not a temp-to-hire.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
• Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
• Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track maintenance schedules and identify areas for improvement.
• Operate forklifts to load/unload materials.

Requirements

• 2 years of previous experience operating manufacturing machinery (required)
• Mechanical knowledge/aptitude (required)
• Understanding of what the machine is for, how it works, and best practices
• Previous experience with plastics injection molding (required)
• Experience with programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Leadership, Team Lead, or Supervising experience

All shifts available

Compensation

Up to $25 per hour.
