Job summary

ABB is seeking an operator to run rubber injection molding machines and produce molded components in a safety‑driven, quality‑focused environment. You will perform checks, maintain records, and support Lean 5S in a fast-paced plant.

The role requires ability to lift 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and communicate in English. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be needed to meet objectives, with opportunities for growth within the Production department.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform push/pull actions.
  • Ability to work overtime to meet objectives.
  • Weekend schedule may be required.
  • Good reading, writing and comprehension of English instructions.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components.
  • Responsible for the production of molded products.
  • Follow plant safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Ensure quality by performing checks and adhering to SOPs and maintenance routines.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records and shift-change forms.
  • Track approved and defective units and final product documentation.

Responsible for the production of molded products.You will be mainly accountable for:SafetyUnderstands and follows plant safety and procedures.Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conducts self in a safe manner.Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.Participates in plant safety objectives.Job FunctionsDemonstrate ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned areas.Understand and follow plant safety and procedures.Responsible for all aspects of molding operations, i.e., work instructions, standard operating procedures, and revision controlEnsure quality operation of the process, perform quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance.Maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates.Prepare and maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.Keep track of approved, defective units and final productEnsure shift change is completed forms are completed with accurate and appropriate information.Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needsEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma/GED is requiredPrior manufacturing experience or quality control experience PreferredAbility to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functionsCan work overtime to meet Business ObjectivesCan work a weekend schedule as needed.Skills and/or TrainingAbility to communicate, read, write, and understand various written instructions in EnglishBend, twist & turn in a safe mannerLift up to 40 PoundsStand for long periodsGood hand dexterityStrong math skillsBuilding a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
