Description

O'Neal Steel has openings for a Machine Operator (3rd Shift) at our Greensboro, NC facility.

The Machine Operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements
  • Ability to operate a variety of processing equipment including, but not limited to, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, laser, etc.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals.
  • Responsible for providing high-quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Must be able to work 3rd Shift - Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am. Overtime will be required as needed.
