Job summary

TKC Thermo King LLC in Hastings, Nebraska, is hiring for an introductory level machinist position on-site. Set up and operate various machines, read blueprints, and inspect parts to ensure quality.

Essential Functions

Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Blueprint Reading Precision Tools and Measuring Certifications

• Forklift, if applicable
• Scrap Dollars
• Rejected and/or reworked parts

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.
• Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.
• Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.
• Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance.

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)

• Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance: Press brakes, CNC punches, and laser machines. (* if applicable)
• Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.
• Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.
• Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
• Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $23.70
