Job summary

RIE Coatings, Inc. in Dubuque, IA is seeking a dependable 3rd shift Machine Operator to join our overnight production team. You will set up, operate, and monitor production equipment to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing of high‑quality products.

This hands‑on role requires basic math and computer skills, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. You will work Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a $22.00 hourly wage plus a $3.00 shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing or machine operating experience is helpful but not required—we'll train the right candidate.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 65 lbs, and rarely up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery according to work instructions.
• Load and unload parts and materials while maintaining production flow.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and notify maintenance of equipment issues when needed.
• Complete production records and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain production goals while following all safety procedures.
• Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth production throughout the shift.
• Cross-train in other production areas as needed.
• Assist with additional production duties and projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is helpful but not required-we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 65 lbs, and rarely up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout an entire shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
