Job summary

Central Garden & Pet in Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. The candidate will work primarily on the production line, setting up and running machines for optimal operation. Responsibilities include ensuring product quality and maintaining a safe workspace.

Machine Operator

Location: 1302 Lew Ross Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51501

Shift: Monday‑Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10 hour/day, OT)

Pay: $17–$20 an hour, depending on experience

The ideal candidate will be able to work on the production/assembly line as well as set up and run machines for proper and efficient operation resulting in a high-quality product. You must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally, stoop, squat, bend, overhead lift, stand, walk and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. You must also have a practical working knowledge of basic arithmetic functions and be able to read, write, understand, and converse in English. Work is performed in a manufacturing facility.
