Job summary

Dee Zee, Inc is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to operate production equipment including punch presses, lasers, CNC mills and related machinery. You will feed materials, monitor operations, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

We value teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to 6S safety practices. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience is desirable. This is a full-time on-site role in Des Moines, IA.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing and/or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance to customers.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Feed the necessary raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules and regulations.
• Sand and deburr parts.
• Support Dee Zee’s environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste and acting on environment performance results & findings.
• Tend to the machine and product to ensure quality and proper operation.
• Complete daily machine check sheets and production recording.
• Ensure quality parts are being produced by making frequent quality checks.

The Machine Operator’s primary responsibility is operating production equipment, including punch presses, press brakes, folding machines, turret presses, saw drill boxes, flat bed lasers, Kuka lasers, tube benders, buffing lines, and CNC mills.
