Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator for the Clarkston IBC site at 4750 Clawson Tank Drive. You will assemble plastics intermediate bulk containers and steel cages following established procedures and safety standards, supporting daily production, changeovers, and outbound shipments.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork. You will work the 3rd shift on a Sunday–Friday rotation from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand plant safety guidelines and pass safety training.
  • Able to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Troubleshoot problems and report issues.
  • Work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements
  • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
  • Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
  • Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor
  • Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
  • Notify Production Lead or Supervisor when stepping off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
  • Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
  • Follows all company policies and procedures

The Machine Operator is under the direction of the shift supervisor and will primarily be responsible for assembly of plastics intermediate bulk containers & steel cages manufactured using established production procedures, following safety protocol and adhering to company’s quality standards. Support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and outbound shipments. Secondary responsible for assisting in packaging of product of internal and external use and assisting in changeover with other production teammates.

This position will be based at the Clarkston IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) site located at 4750 Clawson Tank Drive.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Plant facility runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week consistently, excluding designated holidays or prearranged shut down.
  • Ability to be on feet consistently 8 hours per scheduled shift.
  • Shifts are scheduled 5 days consecutive depending on shift rotation of 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd Monday to Friday.
    • This position will work on the 3 rd shift schedule that is a Sunday to Friday weekly rotation, in at 11pm and out at 7:30am.
  • Ability to be on feet for 8 hours per shift, up to 12 hours per shift when working mandatory overtime.
  • Line production is constant flow approximately 36 IBC totes an hour.
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
  • Ability to lift up to 42lbs consistently for full scheduled shift
  • Usage of cutting knife for flashing to complete tote manufacturing process.
  • Walking during this standing time in work cell, continuous rotation between blow mold machine, and tester machine.
  • Repetitive turning & twisting during the leak testing steps of production.
  • Reaching above shoulders, hand and wrist repetitive simple grasping to pick up bottle to stack.
  • Ability to wear company required personal protective equipment; safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, and any other necessary item based on assigned task.
