Job summary

Kennametal in Bedford, PA is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator through Kelly Services. This temp-to-hire position offers shifts with pay of $19.25–$19.50 depending on shift, including 3rd shift (11pm–7:30am), 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm), and 1st shift (7am–3:30pm).

You will perform safety checks, inspect equipment, assemble components, operate production lines, and document production metrics while supporting lean and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Familiar with safety procedures and ISO quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working on a 3rd shift schedule.
• Able to perform physical tasks and operate production machinery efficiently.
• Team-oriented with a drive to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation safety checks on machines and work area.
• Conduct safety inspections for individual machines and equipment.
• Assemble conical bit bodies, brazing material, and carbide tips.
• Operate braze line, press, and pack stations at optimal levels.
• Inspect parts to meet ISO quality requirements.
• Record production and quality data accurately.
