J. Baur Machining Inc. is a CNC manufacturing company in Mars, PA seeking an entry to mid-level CNC Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 11:00 AM–10:30 PM).

The role offers a 44-hour workweek with overtime and year-round health benefits, PTO, and a climate-controlled shop. Training is provided for motivated, self-starting candidates with basic blueprint reading and tool-handling skills. You'll operate Mazak Multi-Tasking Equipment, Mazak Horizontals, and HAAS Verticals, learning

Qualifications

• Entry to mid-level CNC machining experience.
• Willingness to learn the trade and progress in machining.
• Reading blueprints and tolerances is required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow setup machinists' instructions to run parts.
• Load/unload material and operate manual/CNC tools.
• Observe cutting processes and manage tool life/offsets.
• Detect and report defects and ensure parts meet blueprints.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.

J. Baur Machining is a CNC manufacturing company located in Mars, PA. We have been a leader in precision machining and contract manufacturing for over 40 years. We are family-owned business made up of about 20 amazing employees. We feature automated CNC technology that includes 18 CNC machines in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. We love Mazak, Multi-Tasking equipment!

Who Are We Looking For:

This position is for our 2nd shift which runs Monday thru Thursday. Our small crew works 44 hours/week (Overtime!) of 11am-10:30pm. You will get to enjoy a LONG WEEKEND (with a consistent schedule) of Friday thru Sunday Off. Additional voluntary overtime is usually available throughout the month as well.

We are looking for an entry to mid-level CNC Machine Operator who understand machining basics such as blueprint reading and the ability to operate basic hand and power tools. We are willing to train and progress an ambitious, self-starter who wants to learn the trade of machining. Some of our best employees have come from different backgrounds such as restaurant, landscaping, and warehouse industries. As a Machine Operator, you will have the ability to operate CNC equipment such as Mazak Multi-Tasking Equipment, Mazak Horizontals, and HAAS Verticals. If this sounds like an area you have been wanting to learn, then we want to hear from you!

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Take instruction from the CNC Set-Up machinists for running your part.
• Operate manual and CNC machine tools that include loading and unloading material to and from the machine tool work holding.
• Observe material cutting processes.
• Perform tool life management and tool compensation.
• Detect and report defective material, product, and equipment at machine tool.
• Complete parts finishing operation of the product to ensure it conforms to specifications per blueprint.
• Complete machine tool routine maintenance.
• Trouble shooting on machines in this fast-paced environment.
• Complete parts finishing operation to ensure the parts conform to specifications per blueprint.
• Perform machine tool routine maintenance.

The Perfect Candidate:

• Know or be willing to learn how to read and interpret blueprints and have a strong understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to use and operate hand or power tools and finishing tools.
• Knowledge of math.
• Mechanical aptitude and meticulous.
• Team Player with agreat attitude that can work well with others and be able to take correction.We are a small company that strives for a pleasant work environment for all.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
