Job summary

Elm Plating Company in Jackson, MI is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). You will operate an automated coating machine, mix and test coating materials, and maintain clean work areas.

Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with a $1.50 per hour premium, plus benefits including BCN Medical Insurance, company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and a 401(k) match. Industrial safety attire and onsite healthcare are provided.

Primary Function:

• Position is responsible for operating automated coating machine.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate line per operator work instructions.
• Mixing and testing of coating material for production.
• Responsible for keeping area clean.
• Contribute/participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Required to comply with all Company/Plant, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• May be required to perform other duties assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and follow written work instructions

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Attention to detail and quality a must.
• Must maintain a valid forklift license.
• Must be able to work overtime as scheduled.

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
• Position requires constant bending, twisting, pulling and climbing on and off the forklift truck.
• Understands the environmental directives of EPC.
• Understands the environmental impact of their division.
• Maintain production to reach daily production targets
