Trim Shop Operator
Performance Expectations
The Trim Shop Operator is responsible for organizing, building, and bundling all trim orders daily. They are required to read sales orders and prioritize their workload to ensure timely completion. They should have the ability to operate the brake, shear, and roll former machines.

Expectations for your Role
- Safety
- Follow all safety procedures and equipment manuals.
- Report accidents and injuries immediately, detailing the events.
- Report tool or equipment issues to the Trim Shop Lead.
- Productivity
- Maintain and clean equipment daily.
- Ensure materials are stocked for order completion.
- Keep work area organized and free of obstructions.
- Verify product information and inspect coils, flats, and machines for correct specifications.
- Ensure orders are completed by scheduled times and meet quality standards.
- Operate machines safely following guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock.
- Operate forklift safely.
- Assist with deliveries and confirm receipt of items.
- Report scrap, miss-cuts, returns, and damages daily.
- Assist with loading customer and company vehicles.
Drive Customer Service Improvements
- OTC% > 97.5%
- Cycles per shift > 1500
- Waste < 2%
Role Requirements
- Skills needed
- Understanding of all machines, duties, and safety procedures.
- Forklift certification.
- Physical ability to stand, stretch, bend, kneel, and sit for long periods.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to identify different metal colors.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to learn product installation and proper procedures.
- Team-oriented and service-minded.
- Strong problem-solving, listening, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Must lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
