Packaging Machine Operator_Kemper - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a Food Production Machine Operator to join our team at DITSCH USA, a leading producer of artisan pretzels based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This full-time position offers a starting pay of $19 - $21/hour, with a schedule on the 2nd shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and potential for additional hours including weekends.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining packaging and processing machinery to ensure safe, high-quality production.
  • Maintaining safety standards and good manufacturing practices, including sanitation and equipment cleaning per SSOPs.
  • Monitoring product and packaging quality, conducting tests, and documenting results.
  • Operating automated equipment, adjusting controls to meet specifications, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensuring accurate inventory traceability and collaborating with team members for smooth operations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; mechanical skills and 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, food manufacturing experience, and familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.
  • Physical ability to handle objects up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in diverse environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a strong safety commitment.
