Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a dedicated production associate in the United States to maintain a smooth, compliant packaging line. You will follow GMP and FDA procedures, operate equipment, and ensure accurate packing and labeling.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 2–3 years’ experience, forklift certification, and the ability to read measurements and report batch data. You’ll join a safety-conscious team and contribute to efficient, quality-driven production.

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma OR GED with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Effective communication with Purchasing, R&D and QA.
  • Familiar with conveyors, scales, hoists, meters, etc.
  • Ability to perform basic math and unit conversions.
  • Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out and hazmat safety.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain steady production flow per GMP and FDA standards.
  • Prepare packaging materials for filling, sealing and palletizing.
  • Package regulated hazardous chemicals safely.
  • Fill products into pre-labeled containers.
  • Monitor material fill levels and equipment operation.
  • Document batch tickets and production tags accurately.
  • Assist with unloading drums and warehousing as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities / Tasks Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Follow all manufacturing procedures per GMP and FDA requirements.

Responsible for maintaining a constant flow of production consistent with established production and quality standards.

Prepare packaging materials in order to fill, seal, and palletize various packages according to manufacturing order.

Responsible for packaging some regulated hazardous chemicals.

Ensure that product is being filled in appropriate pre-labeled containers.

Monitor the appearance and fill levels of the materials being packaged.

Monitor the operation of the equipment being utilized.

Properly write up production tags with the amount of packaged product and accurately report on batch ticket.

May be required to assist with unloading of empty drum trailers and other warehousing functions.

Maintain a clean and neat appearance of the immediate work area.

Follow all safety instructions and procedures.

Your Profile / Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:

Highschool Diploma OR GED Required with 2-3 years of experience.

Be certified to operate various forklift trucks.

Must be able to communicate efficiently with personnel in Purchasing, R&D and QA departments.

Be familiar with operating procedures for conveyors, scales, hoists, meters, etc.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.

Be familiar with procedures such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space, HAZMAT, forklift safety and various other safety measures.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20-$22 per hour with an additional $2 shift differential.

GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position.

Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
