Job summary

Millat Industries in Ohio is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in our Production department. We are a longstanding, family-owned precision machining company offering a stable, growth-oriented environment and team-focused culture.

You will learn and perform basic machining operations, read blueprints, use measurement tools, and work under supervision to safely produce quality parts. Training provided; 40 hours/week, with a 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shift and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
• Dependable and flexible with good attendance.
• Detail oriented with strong work ethic.
• Able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to floor.
• Exerts 10–50 lbs frequently.
• Adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Learn industrial math, print reading, and machining theory related to the department.
• Under supervision, develop department skills.
• Load raw material into machines and unload finished product.
• Perform basic deburring on parts.
• Read and use micrometers and calipers.
• Learn safety, sawing, drilling, materials, turning, speeds and feeds.
• Operate lathes and milling machines under guidance.
• Follow sequence of operation on router.
• Coordinate with coworkers and leaders for instructions.

Your Responsibilities

• Learn industrial math, print reading, and machining theory related to the department you are assigned
• Under the guidance of the Trainer or Team Leader, learn skills related to the department in which you are assigned
• Load raw material into the machine and unload finished product from the machine
• Perform basic deburring on product.
• Use/read Micrometers and Calipers
• Learn basics of safety, sawing, drilling, materials, turning, and speeds and feeds
• Learn safe operation of, receive practical experience on lathes and milling machines within the department you are assigned
• Follow sequence of operation on router
• Communicate with co-workers and team leaders to receive instructions and coordinate activities

Qualifications

• High school graduate/GED with previous manufacturing experience a plus but not required
• Must be dependable and flexible with a good attendance record
• Must be detailed oriented and have good work ethic
• Must stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor
• Exerts between 10 and 50 pounds on frequent basis
• Always adhere to Company safety policies

Compensation

• $19.00/hr
• 10% Pay increase when working on 2nd Shift
• This position will start through a Staffing Agency for the first 90 Days

Schedule –2nd Shift - Approximately 40 hours per week, core hours 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Occasional Saturdays.
