Danfoss is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator in Freeport, IL. You will set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control machines to fabricate and assemble parts in a climate-controlled facility.

The Impact You'll Make

We have an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. Machine Operators set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties. Wage Range for this position is $20.95 - $23.00 per hour, plus a 7% shift differential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Fits and assemble parts into complete assemblies, ensuring dimensions and alignment are accurately verified.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Capability to apply logical reasoning and comprehension to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently needs to talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Essential vision abilities for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
