LPI Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator for the second shift in Florida. The role involves operating CNC machinery, measuring parts with precision tools, and performing tool changes to maintain quality.

You will load/unload parts, adjust tooling as needed, and ensure smooth machining sequences while keeping the workspace clean and safe. Responsibilities include monitoring machine performance, recording measurements, and collaborating with the team to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Operate CNC machines and run pre-loaded programs.
• Measure finished parts with calipers, micrometers, or height gauge.
• Replace cutting tools and monitor tool wear.
• Adjust machines to compensate for tool wear and process variations.
• Load/unload parts, change tooling, and manage machining sequences.
• Move materials, fixtures and equipment as needed.
• Clean parts and workstation after operations.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Machine Operator assists in the manufacturing process of parts by operating mechanical equipment and maintains tolerances to ensure quality.

The position is for second shift only which starts at 2 pm.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads parts into CNC machines and runs pre-loaded programs.
• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments (ie calipers, micrometers, height gauge).
• Removes and replaces cutting tools.
• Monitors machines during operation, alerts supervisor to any issues and makes simple adjustments to compensate for tool wear.
• Stop machines to load workpieces and remove finished workpieces, change tooling and perform other activities according to required machining sequences.
• Lift workpieces and fixtures to machines manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Move material, tools, fixtures and equipment as required.
• Clean parts and move parts between stations.
• Clean equipment and workspace.
• Performs other duties, as required.
