Responsibilities & Opportunities

Sika is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join its growing team in Gastonia, NC.

This role involves assisting the shift supervisor in coordinating production activities and operating manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of manufacturing processes and products, and be capable of adjusting operating conditions to ensure the production of quality parts.

Additional Duties include:

1. Operating equipment such as mixing systems, calenders, presses, hot melt units, embossers, anti-sticking agents, adhesive units, UV units, and magnetizing units.
2. Starting up and managing hot oil heaters and water chillers.
3. Performing quality tests and correcting out-of-spec conditions.
4. Adhering to production schedules.
5. Training new production employees.
6. Performing basic maintenance on presses and reporting repairs.
7. Assisting with labeling and packing parts.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 months to 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of the metric system, computer literacy, forklift operation, and basic reading and writing skills.
