Job summary

Ken’s Foods, Inc. is seeking a diligent Team Member to maintain quality and production standards on the manufacturing line. You’ll operate equipment, assist with packaging, inspect bottles and cases, and help with labeling changes while following food safety policies.

Strong reading/writing and reliable teamwork are essential. The role requires basic math, completing paperwork, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

  • Education: High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Strong reading and writing abilities.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality and production standards while operating equipment.
  • General cleaning of equipment and work areas.
  • Stacking/unstacking cases and packing boxes.
  • Inspect bottles and cases for quality.
  • Communicate and implement product changes and labels.
  • Complete necessary paperwork.
  • Support food safety and cleanliness policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Maintain quality and production standards while operating equipment
  • General cleaning of operational equipment (labeler brushes, packer air bags, infeed rails, spills, etc.) Possess overall knowledge and understanding of the entire production line
  • Ability to stack and un-stack cases; pack boxes.
  • Ability to inspect bottles and cases.
  • Ability to communicate and understand numerous product changes, boxes, labels, etc.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork
  • Quality at the Source testing, where applicable to operations
  • Ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality and facility cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Producing product free of contamination
  • Following all Ken’s Foods SQF, Security and GMP policies
  • Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
  • Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent; or up to one month to three-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
