Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking an Operations/Production associate at our Walden, NY facility to operate machinery, follow safety rules, read work orders, and maintain clean, safe work areas. The role focuses on producing quality bags, reducing waste, and keeping equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and crew safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical breakdowns and adjustments.
• Explain safety rules and lockouts to crew (Helper and Examiner).
• Read and understand work orders and blue lines.
• Sign off on Quality Inspection report every half hour.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Ensure guards are in place and area remains clean.
• Able to run and change over machines; produce quality bags.
• Aim to increase daily production while minimizing waste.
• Set up and gauge printers as necessary; perform lubrication and monthly maintenance.
• Train potential operators.
