Job summary

Pretium Packaging, a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions, is hiring multiple Machine Operators for the B shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) at Salt Lake City, UT. You will set up and operate machines, monitor performance, and perform routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating production lines, performing quality checks, managing raw materials, and adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a machine operator in plastics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Knowledge of blow molding machine operation and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with different plastic materials and their properties.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up production lines to meet quality standards.
• Monitor equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks on containers and document adjustments.
• Maintain defined levels of raw materials and keep work area clean.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• May work overtime or attend after-hours meetings as needed.
