Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. in Trenton, SC is seeking a Machine Operator for first shift. You will operate and maintain basic machinery at a steady rate with quality output, and learn how the products you assemble impact the business.

You will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and collaborate with teammates in a safe, process-driven environment. Training across stations may be required as processes evolve.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret diagrams.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
• Develop understanding of products assembled and how they impact the business.
• Continuously learn the principles, practices, and processes of the job as changes require.
• Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
• Understand machine guarding and safe operation of machinery.
• Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
• Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed.
• May occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed.
