Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. in Hanover, PA, is hiring a Machine Operator for 1st shift to support our packing room operations. You will operate packing room machines, monitor performance, and help ensure product quality and on-time production.

The role reports to the Packing Room Supervisor and requires the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed; the shift runs 7:00am–3:00pm, with overtime on Saturdays as required. Pay rate is $25.50 per hour.

• Experience following instructions/process documents and communicating clearly.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates packing room machines to meet production speed and quality specs.

Job Description: About the Role:

The Machine Operator role at the Hanover location reports to the Packing Room Supervisor and takes day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Ensures that production standards are met by: operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include: Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers and sonic sensors.

• Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next order.

• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.

• Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.

• Other duties as assigned

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st Shift which operates from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday, Overtime on Saturday as needed . $25.50/hr. About You:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus
