What does manufacturing contribute to Cardinal Health?

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production to put together component parts to make assemblies, sub-assemblies or completed units, using standard operating procedures. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to operate, supply, sample and record movement of materials associated with production machinery and ancillary equipment in conformance to FDA, GMP’s, ISO13485 standards, and finished product specifications; sample and inspect production, stage material accordingly and report production accuracy; monitor manufacturing process quality to assure that only acceptable materials are released to subsequent production processes. This is accomplished through statistical sampling and inspection which allows detection of changes in product quality so that corrective action is initiated. Clean and maintain work areas within the facility as assigned following standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product utilizing established test methods and gages and initiate corrective action with supervisor, department technical resources, and quality assurance inspectors.
  • Perform requisite sampling and inspection of product in accordance with established department and plant procedures.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of production from assigned machines.
  • Monitor machinery and processes during shift and request department technical assistance; make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimum performance of process.
  • Report and track all production data into the appropriate information systems.
  • Must be proficient with all measuring equipment i.e. micrometers, gages, etc.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the lean system and the ability to control the correct location of associated Kanban tickets.
  • Assist/perform changeovers as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-3 years related work experience and/or training preferred

Pay rate:$17.00 per hour
