About the Role:

Are you interested in operating machines effectively and efficiently to produce gourmet chocolates and candies? We’re seeking a dedicated machine operator to help deliver the quality known and loved by every Fannie May customer for over 100 years. The pay is $21.00 per hour. We are currently hiring for 1st shift Machine Operators. Overtime will be mandatory during peak seasons, which may include Saturdays when needed.

Main Responsibilities:

1. The Machine Operator is required to operate all equipment assigned to their area, including enrobers, shrink or flow wrappers, cutting equipment, melters, and tempering machines.
2. Record production details such as line rates, downtime, quality tests, and total production.
3. Ensure lines are supplied with necessary and appropriate raw and packaging materials.
4. Direct assigned line associates to achieve goals.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Who we are looking for:

Education or Experience

• Understanding of basic arithmetic and the ability to read machinery diagrams and technical instructions.

Physical

• Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing for extended periods, manipulation of various hand and power tools.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Ability to pass company training and certification programs related to machine operation and food safety.

Computer Skills

• Basic computer skills for inventory control purposes.
