Job summary

G.A. Richards Group is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and adjust CNC machines, following blueprints and specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts, and setting up tooling as needed. Shifts run Monday through Friday with a pay range of $17–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications.
• Operate CNC machines and follow standard sequences.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Operates and adjusts CNC machine tools to perform standard, repetitive sequences of operations from provided programs.
• Knowledge of drilling, boring, milling, turning operations.
• Recognizes tooling and procedures where tolerances are tight but maintainable.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Use measurement devices to verify dimensions.
• Change tools and manipulate machine programs as needed.

Pay Range: $17 - $25/hr

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM

Summary: Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications, or equivalent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Operates and adjusts multiple semi-automatic or automatic numerically control machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are often made and maintained by others
• Knowledge of operations including drilling, boring, and milling, turning, etc.
• Recognizes tooling and procedures where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain
• Check parts for conformance to specifications
• Ability to use measurement devices
• Ability to change tools, manipulate machine program
