Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Kendallville, IN is seeking a Machine Operator 1 (Finance) to operate the production equipment and help deliver quality products. The role supports 12-hour day and night shifts, contributing to continuous improvement and teamwork.

Starting rate is $22.00 per hour with a 7.5% night shift premium; after 6 months, the rate increases to $22.75. Incentives include safety shoe reimbursement, safety glasses reimbursement, and vacation time plus cross-training opportunities.

• Experience - Previous machine experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, good communication skills, comfortable with computer applications.
• Ability to work in teams or alone and ability to motivate other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate the machine and lead the overall product outcome associated with machine
• Ensure that product is produced to customer requirements
• Ensure that machines are running at the best possible speed while not sacrificing safety or quality
• Verify and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities that improve the work centers performance
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
• Receive training to help advance your career

Machine Operator 1 (Finance)

Starting Rate OR Range: $22.00 (+ 7.5% night shift premium) after 6 months of satisfactory performance your rate will increase to $22.75.

As our Machine operator 1, you will:

• Operate the machine and leads the overall product outcome associated with machine
• Ensure that product is produced to customer requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to Lift and carry up to 50 pound
• Must be able to stand for the entire duration of your shift
