Lakeside Book Company in Kendallville, IN is hiring a Machine Operator to operate the production line and drive quality outcomes on the machine. Starting pay is $19.75 per hour with a raise to $20.25 after 6 months, plus a 7.5% night shift premium.

The role offers a safety shoe and glasses reimbursement, tools provided, and paid vacation with cross-training opportunities. You will work 12-hour day and night shifts, be part of a team, and participate in continuous improvement to boost efficiency

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 pounds.
• Experience with machine operation preferred.
• Able to stand for the entire duration of your shift.
• Attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Able to use a ruler properly.

Responsibilities

• Operate the machine and lead the overall product outcome associated with machine.
• Ensure that product is produced to customer requirements.
• Ensure that machines are running at the best possible speed while not sacrificing safety or quality.
• Verify and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities that improve the work centers performance.
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
• Receive training to help advance your career.

Machine Operator

Starting Rate: $ 19.75 after 6mo of satisfactory performance, you will increase to $20.25. We have a night shift premium rate of an additional 7.5% on the hour)
