Job summary

Generac in Beaver Dam, WI is hiring Machine Operator I-III to operate machinery, meet production schedules and quality standards. Reviews work instructions, builds products per specifications, and maintains clean work areas with proper PPE.

This role offers progression across Operator I-III and requires attention to detail. The position features a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3:00pm–1:30AM) with a base pay plus a $2.50 shift premium per hour; rates range from $21.75 to $28.75 per hour depending on level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Experience using hand tools with precision.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
• Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs
• Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
• Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
• Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed
• Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed

Pay Rate

Machine Operator I - $21.75/hour + 2.50/hour shift premium = $24.25/hour

Machine Operator II - $24.25/hour + 2.50/hour shift premium = $26.75/hour

Machine Operator III - $26.25/hour + 2.50/hour shift premium = $28.75/hour

The Machine Operator – Operations I/II/III is responsible for operating machinery to manufacture products in a timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The Machine Operator – Operations I/II/III will review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.

Mon - Thurs 3:00pm - 1:30AM
