  • Set up packaging equipment in an effective and timely manner.
  • Maintain quality with continuous inspection and escalation as needed.
  • Complete SPC transactions accurately and timely.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and programs.
  • Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills to support business objectives.
  • Support line operations to ensure production flow and meet standard/run speeds.
  • Follow safety/housekeeping practices and escalate hazards promptly.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation/change-over of various types of packaging equipment while supplying a quality product. Also responsible to complete non-technical tasks related to packaging as needed- stacking, packing.JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:Make minor adjustments to assigned packaging equipment with safety, quality, morale, costs and customer emphasisPerform proper set-up of packaging equipment in an effective and timely manner- measured by length of change over and efficiency after start-upContinuous attention to quality of product- constant inspection and adjustment and or escalation as neededComplete necessary SPC transactions accurately and timely.Continuous technical learning- advance training plan and technical aptitude as set by Packaging ManagerDemonstrate professional interpersonal skills to enable business objectivesWhen necessary, perform any line operations to maintain flow of production including knowing standard speed and run speedSupport visual controls program and other continuous improvement programs as necessaryExercise strong communication skills with supervisors, operators and support/leadership.Participate in Continuous Improvement programs such as suggestion program, kaizen teams, autonomous maintenance and other similar company initiativesFollow all prescribed safety/housekeeping practices and procedures. While identifying and escalating safety hazards on machinery and in work area to management with urgencyOther related duties and responsibilities as assignedCOMPETENCIES:Analytical Thinking - Critically analyzes information and uses logic to address work-related issues and problems.
