GPS Jobs is hiring a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator in Yemassee, SC to join a growing manufacturing team. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers competitive starting pay and benefits after hire.

You will set up and operate machinery, load materials, monitor production, and ensure quality. Candidates should have basic math, ability to read tape measures, and be comfortable in non-climate-controlled environments; steel-toe boots required.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience required or preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Good basic math skills (addition, multiplication, etc.).
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and varying schedules.
• Steel-toe boots are required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery according to instructions.
• Load raw steel materials into machines.
• Monitor production machinery and adjust as needed.
• Use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to measure.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and tooling changes.
• Ensure products meet quality and production standards.

Shift Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Extended hours may run from 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 12-hr shifts may run: 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM
