Job description

Position Title: Machine Operator



Wage: $17.00 per hour



Shift: 2nd, 3rd



Hours: 4:00pm-12:00am; 12:00am-8:00am



QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for a Machine Operator at a company in Waverly, NE. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.



Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Reads and understand checklist and work order of job specifications to determine quality.

- Observes machine operation to detect workplace defects or machine malfunction-report findings to manager.

- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

- Removes burrs, sharp edges, and flash from work piece.

- Stacks, Marks, Packs, and/or transports finished work pieces according to work orders.

- Maintains and cleans the working environment.



Machine Operator Requirements:

- The employee is continuously required to stand for up to 8 hours.

- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally throughout 8-hour shift.

- Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently throughout 8-hour shift.

- Required to use hands to feel, handle, and must be able to listen and hear frequently throughout an 8-hour shift.

- Must be able to complete basic math.

- Must be able to read and communicate written instructions in English.
