Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. People Skills. Customer Service.

Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.

Mathematical Skills: Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide). Must be able to read a tape measure or rule in both standard & metric.

Reasoning Ability: Problem-solving ability. Understanding the cost of production, including cost-saving ideas and implementation.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for performing daily inspections of the forklift and operating it in a safe and controlled manner.
2. Responsible for cutting cores for all lines.
3. Responsible for minimizing core waste by cutting all cores within specification.
4. Responsible for transporting all packaging supplies to the appropriate lines, then returning them to their designated storage area.
5. Responsible for transporting all boxed materials to the appropriate lines, then returning them to the designated return area.
6. Responsible for maintaining the core and corrugated storage areas in an organized and controlled manner.
7. Responsible for transporting all finished goods to the loading docks and loading the products onto the shuttles or outbound trailers.
8. Responsible for unloading any materials that may be received at the plant from shuttles or inbound trailers.
9. Responsible for gathering and taking out all garbage and dumping it in the appropriate dumpsters.
10. Responsible for ensuring that all materials brought into the plant are clean and free of any foreign debris.

Qualification Requirements: Have an excellent attendance record. Have an excellent safety record. Familiar with best practice safety procedures. Completion of ISO training. Good written and oral communications skills.

Physical Demands

Must work a 12-hour workday. Requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching. Requires pushing and pulling roll carts and hoists. Requires lifting up to 55 pounds. Requires ascending and descending ladders throughout the workday.
