Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is hiring a Burnishing Machine Operator in Afton, TN. The role involves operating heat-treating and surface-finishing equipment to polish, deburr, and stress-relieve parts, with a $17/hour base and a $1 raise after 30 days.

This full-time position offers weekly pay and insurance options. Responsibilities include loading materials, monitoring processing times and data for quality control, transporting parts with a forklift, performing routine maintenance, and following

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related work experience.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Read work instructions, interpret basic drawings, and communicate clearly.
• Apply math and problem-solving skills for measuring, calculating, and troubleshooting.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
• Maintain good vision, coordination, and comfort using protective gear such as respirators.
• Work safely around machinery, electrical components, and moderate noise.
• Dependable, cooperative, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Tolerate occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or risk of electrical shock or thermal burns.
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and reach as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials into machines using automated systems and unload finished parts for cooling or drying.
• Monitor and record processing times, temperatures, and production data for quality control.
• Transport materials and products using a forklift and update inventory through the ERP system.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, media changes, and cleaning per work instructions.
• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place.
• Completes any other related tasks as needed.
