Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is hiring for a Machine Operator in Owego, NY. The role operates light-duty machine tools, may set up machines, and checks tolerances using gauges and fixtures. Some CNC capability is possible, with a focus on quality control and safe operation.

Pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, dependent on experience. First shift Mon-Thurs 5:00am–3:30pm, with possible overtime on Fridays or Saturdays. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

• Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.

• Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Some machines may be numerically controlled or CNC.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency required

Experience: 6mo's Machine Operations experience w/ small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
