Job summary

The Butler America Aerospace Medford facility is seeking a skilled CMM Operator to set up, program, and operate CMM equipment for first-article, in-process, and final inspections. You will interpret drawings, GD&T, and create or modify CMM programs (e.g., Calypso).

Responsibilities include documenting results, supporting root-cause investigations, and assisting training of operators while maintaining calibration and adhering to AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1+ years of experience with CMM programming.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T.
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso).
  • Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.
  • Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.
  • Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all standard work, safety procedures, and quality system requirements.
  • Assist with training operators and inspectors on print reading and measurement techniques.

What You Will Do:

  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso)
  • Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.
  • Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.
  • Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
