Job summary

Aerotek in Oconto, WI is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run fabrication equipment, including routers, presses, deburring machines, metal saws, and lasers. You will read blueprints and work orders to fabricate parts to spec while keeping a safe, clean, organized work area.

The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documenting shift actions to maintain continuity. This is a fully onsite role with two shifts and potential overtime.

Qualifications

Job Description

Responsible for the set-up and operation of various fabrication equipment, including routers, press brakes, deburring machines, metal saws, and lasers. This role involves reading blueprints and work orders to fabricate parts to specifications while maintaining safe operations and a clean, organized working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. The Machine Operator also maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. Additionally, the role requires maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, as well as safely operating material handling equipment such as cranes and fork/pallet trucks.

Work Environment

The facility operates on two shifts: 1st Shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 2nd Shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime worked as needed during the typical week. The shop is climate-controlled, and you will be part of a team of 80-90 full-time employees working in the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Oconto, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.30 - $34.00/hr.
