What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Use computerized manufacturing technologies or related systems to meet production and customer requirements.
- Perform set-up duties on fabrication equipment and safety devices in accordance with production documentation.
- Position production materials and tooling, maintaining accurate dimensions according to print specifications.
- Operate and adjust various equipment, including controllers, and edit programs as per production documentation.
- Meet established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or hazards.
- Ensure products and systems meet quality standards.
- Inspect work to meet dimensional requirements per prints.
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting systems.
- Take action and notify relevant personnel when issues arise concerning equipment, operations, or materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as a team member.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
You have:
- Minimum of one year prior experience in machine operating.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.
- Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process.
- Knowledge of safety policies and the ability to promote compliance.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical repair skills or ability.
- Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to lift, slide, and handle heavy materials.
- Ability to read and use measuring equipment (e.g., tape measure, caliper).
- Support for continuous improvement efforts.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business circumstances and thrive.
