Job summary

Oldcastle APG, part of CRH, in Ohio is seeking Equipment and Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team. You will operate equipment to produce products from raw materials, inspect quality, and assist in maintaining production while following safety and operating policies.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • At least two years experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal direction.
  • Ability to complete internal certifications.
  • Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, ear protection).
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, stoop, twist, sit, stand, climb, reach.
  • Climb stairs and ladders with 3 points of contact.
  • Stand for extended periods; work in dusty and non-climate-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment efficiently to produce products from raw materials to yard stage.
  • Inspect the quality of products according to standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate production records.
  • Monitor machinery and report malfunctions.
  • Perform machine clean-up, setup, preventive maintenance and related tasks.
  • Work with conveyors, ramps, elevators and other machinery.
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out and CPM.
  • Cross train on other production aspects as needed.
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Employeeworks under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager on routine duties following standard policies and procedures. Refers problems and questions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment efficiently to produce products from raw materials to yard stage
  • Inspect the quality of products according to standards
  • Assist in maintaining accurate production
  • Monitor the operations of machinery and associated equipment to detect and report malfunctions
  • Perform machine clean-up, set-up, perform preventive maintenance, and other functions associated with job changes
  • Work with conveyors, ramps, elevators and other machinery
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out and CPM
  • Willing and able to cross train on other aspects of the production process
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as needed
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
