Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Ohio is hiring Equipment and Machine Operators to support production under the supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager. You will operate equipment, monitor quality, and aid in routine production tasks to keep lines running smoothly.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of manufacturing experience, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, wear PPE, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal direction.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, ear protection.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Requires often lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, sitting, standing, climbing, reaching.
  • Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders while maintaining 3 points of contact at all times.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, including extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment efficiently to produce products from raw materials to yard stage.
  • Inspect the quality of products according to standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate production records.
  • Monitor the operations of machinery and report malfunctions.
  • Perform machine cleanup, setup, preventive maintenance, and related duties.
  • Work with conveyors, ramps, elevators and other machinery.
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out and CPM procedures.
  • Willing and able to cross train on other aspects of the production process.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Other duties as needed.

Job Summary

Employeeworks under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager on routine duties following standard policies and procedures. Refers problems and questions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment efficiently to produce products from raw materials to yard stage
  • Inspect the quality of products according to standards
  • Assist in maintaining accurate production
  • Monitor the operations of machinery and associated equipment to detect and report malfunctions
  • Perform machine clean-up, set-up, perform preventive maintenance, and other functions associated with job changes
  • Work with conveyors, ramps, elevators and other machinery
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out and CPM
  • Willing and able to cross train on other aspects of the production process
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as needed
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
