Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in San Jose, CA is seeking an SMT Technician who sets up and runs automated SMT assembly equipment, including screen printer, pick-and-place, and reflow oven, and inspects output against predetermined tolerances.

The role requires 4+ years of SMT experience, familiarity with IPC-610 standards, ability to read prints and color codes, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with SMT.
• Familiar with SMT electronic components and assembly process.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Job Purpose

Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities

• Must be able to set-up and run automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printer, Pick and Place Machine (Fuji AIMEXII preferred), and Reflow Oven
• Must be able to interpret IPC-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.
• Must be able to read prints and interpret color codes on wires and components.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with SMT
• Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly process.
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.

Salary Range(annual): $45,760 - $56,160 ($22 - $27/hour)

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
