Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Rumford, Rhode Island

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate a variety of fabrication equipment, including Table Bender, Shearline, Overhead Cranes, and Forklifts.
2. Organize, tag, and load rebar as directed by the Shop Manager and Project Manager.
3. Ensure quality standards are met consistently while maintaining a high level of safety awareness and performance.
4. Use basic math skills, including fractions, for accurate calculations required in fabrication processes.
5. Read and understand a tape measure for precise measurements.
6. Participate in additional shop-related tasks, such as welding and general fabrication duties, as needed.
7. Maintain effective organization and a strong attention to detail while working efficiently and safely.
8. Work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and approach to problem-solving.
9. Lift, move, and load rebar bundles while ensuring that all equipment is operated according to safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills with a sharp eye for detail.
• Timeliness and effective time management, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative team-focused mindset.
• The ability to perform well in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Prior experience with fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts is highly preferred.
• Basic math skills, with the ability to read and measure accurately.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads (50-75 lbs), prolonged walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Exposure to high noise levels and fluctuating/high temperatures, especially during the summer months.
• Willingness to work shifts that may exceed 10 hours, and the ability to manage physical exertion throughout the day.
