Job summary

Race Winning Brands in Mentor, Ohio is seeking a Machine Operator on 2nd shift to set up and run CNC machines, reading work orders and drawings to produce parts that meet our exacting standards.

You will work with a pit-crew style team, perform tool offsets, keep work areas clean, follow safety procedures, and help improve processes while maintaining quality. Applicants should have basic measuring skills and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent training.
  • Comfort reading blueprints and work orders.
  • Experience with CNC equipment or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong safety and quality mindset.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and small hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run CNC machines from work orders and drawings.
  • Operate equipment safely and follow standard procedures.
  • Check own work and adjust tool offsets as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; manage waste and scrap.
  • Collaborate with Lead and Supervisor to improve processes.

Requirements

As a Machine Operator on 2nd shift at JE, you'll set up and run CNC machines to produce parts from work orders and drawings. You'll work closely with your Lead and Supervisor, checking your work and keeping equipment running properly. Your care and accuracy help make sure every part meets our standards.

What you’ll do:
  • Put safety first and never pass on a defect, no matter what leaves your hands.
  • Work like a pit crew and bring innovation to finding better, faster and smarter ways to work.
  • Set up and run machines from work orders, drawings, templates and layouts.
  • Operate equipment correctly and safely, following work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Check your work and make simple CNC machine and tool offset adjustments.
  • Let your Lead know when a tool or machine needs more complex adjustments.
  • Use small hand tools in your daily work.
  • Keep your area clean, including wiping down machines, sweeping and clearing trash, scrap, skids and boxes.
  • Take ownership of your work and look for ways to make it better.
  • Help keep our workplace safe, organized and respectful.

Nice to have:

High school diploma or GED; 1 year of experience with CNC equipment or in a manufacturing environment.
