Job summary

Whip's Carpentry in North Phoenix is seeking a Machine Operator for a full-time, weekday daytime shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) to join our growing wholesale cabinet manufacturing team. You will run high-volume woodworking equipment to produce cabinet components and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, reliable attendance and the ability to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift.
• Strong mechanical skills and aptitude for hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Proper machine tooling and/or vacuum cup setup/arrangement.
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and operation, point-to-point machines, edge banders, and/or saws in wood manufacturing.
• Cut, edge band, or mill per order requirements.
• Perform machine/program tests for product quality control.
• Assist a machine operator: catching, QC, etc.

Job Type: Full-time ( Weekday Daytime Shift) 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay: Starts at $17.00 per hour

The Machine Operator will be working with high-volume woodworking factory panel saw machines to produce wholesale cabinet products. This involves detail-oriented quality control, machine set up and operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Proper machine tooling and/or vacuum cup setup/arrangement
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and operation, point-to-point machines, edge banders, and/or saws within the wood manufacturing arena is a big plus
• Cut, edge band, or mill per order requirements
• Perform machine/program tests for product quality control
• Assist a machine operator: Catching, QC, etc
• General machine maintenance: cleaning and inspecting for proper function and safety
• Perform various functions needed to ensure production consistency.
• Learn new skills and train in all areas of the work cell

Requirements

• Strong mechanical skills and an aptitude for hands-on work
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
